The opportunity The Team Leader role is responsible for managing a team providing authoritative and accurate private rulings and decisions on customer objections across all revenue lines. Reporting to the Principal Tax Specialist or Director, Tax Advisory and Review, you will be responsible for: Manage and lead a team of officers in the delivery of timely, high quality private rulings and objection decisions across all revenue lines, and deliver team goals, manage team performance and develop team members in their technical skills and professional development in the context of the branch plan. Participate as a member of the management team, contribute to discussions and decision making about branch strategy, and ensure accurate and timely advice to management and/or other branches on the status of private rulings, objections, land tax hardship relief applications and appeals. Participate in quality reviews and identify and implement strategies to achieve continual process and quality improvement. Who we are looking for To be successful in this role, you will have: demonstrated people management skills to lead, manage performance, motivate, mentor and train team members high-level customer service and decision-making skills outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills * a tertiary qualification in law, accounting, commerce, economics or a related discipline (highly desirable).
