Cook – Full Time Location: Millmerran, QLD Pay: Based on qualifications and experience We are seeking an experienced and qualified Cook to join our team at Yallambee , our warm and welcoming 60-bed home located in the rich agricultural region of the Condamine and Macintyre catchments, proudly serving the Millmerran community. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment, including correct food storage Build positive and collaborative working relationships with staff Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed Contribute to seasonal menu planning About You You will bring at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and a genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing of older Australians. Essential Requirements Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery Experience in residential aged care or similar environments Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Good communication skills and a team-focused approach Ability to work efficiently under pressure Two recent managerial referees Compassionate, patient and positive attitude Desirable Safe Food Handling Training Chemical Handling Certificate Previous experience in aged care, healthcare or high-volume catering settings About McLean Care McLean Care is a respected not-for-profit provider delivering person-centred community, retirement and aged care services across NSW and QLD.
