As a Senior Designer at Seafolly working on Women's Apparel , you will play a pivotal role in bringing the brand’s creative vision to life. Working closely with Design, Production, and Merchandising teams, you’ll manage the end-to-end design process to ensure apparel collections align with Seafolly’s aesthetic and market trends. This is a six-month contract role with the potential to extend. In this role, you will: Design seasonal women's apparel collections from concept to final product. Research market trends, customer behaviour, and emerging fashion movements to inform design direction. Develop mood boards, colour palettes, and concept sketches for cohesive collection stories. Collaborate with production and garment tech teams to ensure samples meet Seafolly’s quality and aesthetic standards. Work with merchandising and marketing teams to align designs with commercial goals. Prepare detailed technical specifications and liaise with garment technicians for accurate translation of designs. Spearhead fabric and trim sourcing with suppliers, considering quality, cost, and suitability. Conduct fittings and refine designs for optimal fit and finish. Ensure designs meet quality standards, budget parameters, and timelines. Support sustainable design practices and material integration where possible. What you’ll bring: Extensive experience in Fashion Design (typically 5 years) within contemporary or fashion-forward brands. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) and relevant design software. Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric properties. Ability to interpret trends into commercially viable, on-brand designs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. High attention to detail, quality, and fit. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Apparel/Textile Design, Product Development, or Fashion Buying/Merchandising. Garment fitting experience and strong analytical skills.
