We are seeking a skilled and confident Senior Tax Accountant to join our firm and play a key role in elevating the quality and accuracy of our tax work. About the Role In this hands-on and review-focused position, you will oversee the quality of all tax returns prepared by our team including SMSF, individual, company, trust, and partnership return. You will act as a subject-matter expert, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and adherence to current Australian tax law. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring, reviewing complex work, and providing technical tax support across the practice. The position is available in a full time or flexible part-time option (minimum 3 days per week). You will be based on-site located at Warriewood where there is secure parking, close to both local and major shops and services. This role is based in Warriewood on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Key Responsibilities Review all tax returns prepared by our accountants, including SMSF return Ensure compliance with Australian tax legislation and ATO standards Provide technical tax support and guidance to junior and intermediate accountants Identify discrepancies, provide constructive review notes, and ensure high-quality outputs Assist with tax planning and advisory work as required Maintain accurate documentation and workpapers Use Xero (moderate proficiency required) to review, reconcile, and check client files About You Minimum 5 years' experience in Australian taxation (public practice preferred) Strong working knowledge of Australian Tax Law Experience reviewing tax returns, including Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) returns Proficiency in Xero High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and tax technical capability Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor others Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week Must have Permanent Residency to be eligible to apply Why Join Us?
