The Centre This new community minded child care centre in a lovely area in the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide opening in Feb 2026, is looking for a Centre Director to take on this rewarding role. Starting the first of its kind in Adelaide with plans for expansion, you'll have excellent support to help you succeed in this role. The centre boasts a lovely facade with natural light, excellent resources for the children and families, offering a nurturing and welcoming family environment. Management is passionate about promoting a culture of equity and inclusion for their children, families and staff. They have a focus on delivering high quality, enquiry based programs and strive to create a warm environment with a strong sense of community. The Opportunity This is a rare position for a passionate, front facing Manager to lead a professional team of educators, with a strong focus on being hands on with the team in a coaching and mentoring capacity. You'll develop an exceptional culture where staff are valued, and families are receiving the best care in the community. As the face of the Centre, you’ll have the skills, enthusiasm and attitude to initiate and implement new ideas as well as nurture close, trusting relationships with the families. This role requires an enthused, passionate Centre Manager who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into whatever needs doing. The Benefits Up to $115k p.a super depending on experience Mentoring by experienced management Ongoing professional training Well resourced and well funded Build your team and bring in new families The Ideal Applicant The ideal applicant for this role will either have some experience working as a Centre Manager in a long day care setting or you'll be looking for the next step in your career. You will have a Diploma in Children's services or a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood (or ACECQA equivalent.) In addition, you will have an in depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQS, and a genuine passion for working with children and leading a staff group. Exposure to opening a new center in the past will be highly regarded.
