The key duties of the position include The Role The Clinical Placement and Travel Administration Officer is responsible for the planning, coordination, liaison and administration required to support clinical placement and conditions of service travel for all trainees on courses within Medical Technician Wing at the ADF School of Health. The position requires a good level of computer literacy and use of the Microsoft Office Suite of tools. Understanding of Defence travel policy guidelines is highly desirable. Key duties include: Booking and monitoring of all clinical placement travel through official travel booking systems in accordance with Defence travel policies Providing mentoring and support to staff and trainees of travel administration including but not limited to assisting them in completing relevant documentation, forms and utilising online systems Responsibly reporting and being financially accountable directly to the ADFSH Operations Officer and Unit Resources Manager and the Officer Commanding of MTW Oversee JMED trainees' acquittal of trainee travel payments, including but not limited to entering expenses incurred during travel and matching invoice payments on the Defence expense management systems Utilise a number of systems including but not limited to basic pdf forms, Microsoft suite of applications, Army Capability Management System, Card Management System, Defence Housing online, PMKeyS, Corporate Travel Management and Enterprise Resource Planning Assist ADFSH OPS Cell and ALTC Finance Cell with future resources planning About our Team Medical Technician Wing is responsible for the delivery of training to the Joint Medic. This position will directly liaise with Wodonga Institute of TAFE and the ADF to facilitate the coordination of clinical placement for ADF trainees completing their Diploma of Nursing. The workplace is a dynamic mix of senior civilian and military clinical instructors that are working towards producing the front-line clinical responders of the ADF.
