DREAM NANNIES - NANNY OVERSEAS - LONDON UK Live-In Au Pair / Nanny for Warm, Creative Family in Trendy London N1! PLENTY OF TIME TO APPLY NOW JULY ! Are you a highly empathetic, energetic, and patient individual looking for a unique and rewarding experience overseas? Join a playful, active, and creative family of four as a Live-In Au Pair/Nanny/Mother's Help. This role is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a family that values fun, connection, and open communication. The Family and Role This established family, with two previous successful placements, lives in a cozy, colourful 4-bedroom Georgian house with a garden in the beautiful De Beauvoir/Dalston area. They embrace an active, laid-back, and sometimes chaotic lifestyle, enjoying everything from dancing to K-Pop and making jokes to surfing, swimming, and circus school. You will be caring for two children: a boy (nearly 7) and a girl (4) . The boy (nearly 7) is extremely chatty, playful, active, and highly engaged with the world, with a strong interest in nature. He is currently on a waiting list for a neurodivergent assessment (likely ADHD ) and can struggle with impulse control, leading to occasional challenging behaviour (aggressiveness, swearing) when he is dysregulated, tired, or anxious. This requires a caregiver who is calm, patient, and unflappable , skilled at de-escalation and providing a firm, gentle "holding" presence rather than using shouting or punishment. He is, however, described as one of the kindest and most engaging children in his school class. The girl (4) is funny, considerate, and enjoys imaginary play, arts and crafts, baking, and physical activities like trampolining. She thrives on calm adult company and needs her own dedicated 'special time' with caregivers, as she has learned to be quite self-contained. She also loves to wrestle and dance! Key Responsibilities This is a blend of childcare and household support, requiring a proactive individual to act as a 'third grown-up' in the house, offering both a second pair of hands and a 'second brain' for organisation. Hours and Compensation Hours: Approximately 30-32 hours per week (including babysitting). Schedule: Generally involves split shifts: mornings (approx. 7:30 am–9:00 am) and afternoons/evenings (starting from 2:00 pm/3:00 pm, finishing between 7:00 pm–10:00 pm) . Other household duties (cooking/laundry) can be flexible around your personal schedule during school hours (9:00 am–3:00 pm). Some travel with the family (UK and abroad) may be required. Start Date: Ideally January 1st, 2026 . Duration: A minimum of 12 months Salary: £12–£16 per hour gross , depending on experience. Accommodation and Location Accommodation: You will have your own bedroom, including a chest of drawers, small desk, and large mirror. The bed is a small queen-sized bed (4ft). You will have access to a shower and bathroom on a separate floor from the family's main bedrooms, which the parents will occasionally use in the morning. Time Off: When the family is away on weekends or holidays, you can have the house to yourself and are permitted to have a friend stay overnight (with prior arrangement). Location: The home is in the highly sought-after De Beauvoir/Dalston (N1) area, a vibrant and fun part of London where Hackney meets Islington. The area is full of independent shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Transport: Excellent transport links, just a 3-minute walk from Dalston Junction Overground , which offers a direct and quick route to Central London (e.g., Soho in 30 minutes). Our Dream Nanny will: Be highly empathetic, kind, and non-judgemental . Be energetic and enjoy engaging in active, playful interactions with children (dancing, wrestling, outdoor adventures). Be laid-back but 'on it' , able to manage the 'chaos' of family life with good humour and organisation.
