Our client is seeking a dedicated Grounds Keeper to join their dynamic team in maintaining high-quality landscaping at a retirement village. This role involves managing and executing a variety of grounds maintenance duties, including mowing, edging, and planting, to ensure the client's properties are in impeccable condition. The successful candidate will report directly to the on-site Team Leader and work closely with a small team of three other maintenance staff, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment. Duties: Perform general grounds maintenance tasks. Maintain the expected standard of work diligently. Execute mowing, edging, and snipping operations. Carry out weeding, mulching, and planting activities. Conduct pruning, sweeping, and litter collection tasks. Apply chemicals as needed following safety protocols. Ensure safe operation and maintenance of tools and equipment. Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve objectives. Skills and Experience: Certificate in Horticulture or equivalent experience. Valid manual driver's licence is essential. First Aid certificate is an advantage. Chemical application licence preferred. White Card for construction induction required. Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain). Police Check (or willing to obtain). Must be reliable, punctual, and physically fit for the tasks.
