Our client is undertaking a major business transformation program and is seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to play a key role in supporting the migration of critical data and documents into production environments. About the Role In this role, you will lead end-to-end data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business rules and validation criteria. Working closely with technical teams, SMEs, and program stakeholders, you will drive extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and issue resolution across multiple data streams. You will also be responsible for documentation, knowledge transfer, and maintaining a well-structured, accessible repository of technical artefacts to support ongoing operational needs. Key Responsibilities Lead the technical delivery of data and document migration across all phases—extraction, transformation, loading, and validation. Develop migration scripts, complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL/ELT pipelines to support large-scale migration activity. Maintain real-time tracking and dashboards to monitor progress, risks, and issues. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and SMEs to ensure validation, verification, and successful business acceptance of migrated data. Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data mappings, migration logic, pipeline configurations, and known-issue logs. Support knowledge transfer through structured documentation plans and handover sessions. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A relevant tertiary qualification. Strong experience in SQL development, ETL/ELT technologies, and data migration within complex enterprise environments. Demonstrated capability designing and executing SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and automation routines. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business language.
