Research Insights Manager Join Destination NSW, the champion and voice for the visitor economy within the NSW Government Clerk Grade 9/10 position with a salary range $129,464 - $142,665 per annum (pro rata) plus superannuation Temporary part-time (Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 17.5 hours per week) role (up to 20 September 2026) located in The Rocks, Sydney About the role The Research Insights Manager is pivotal in delivering comprehensive research to support decision-making, strategy development, and performance assessment for Destination NSW activities. This role involves managing both quantitative and qualitative research projects, coaching a high-performing team, and fostering a collaborative culture. You will engage with internal stakeholders to educate them on research practices and requirements and manage external research partners to ensure value-for-money outcomes. Key responsibilities include leading campaign evaluations, creative concept tests and ad-hoc research projects. This will involve managing all aspects of research operations, from defining project objectives, procurement, developing research methodology / design, analysing data to reporting. Additionally, you will lead the presentation and communication of research findings, providing valuable insights and guidance to stakeholders, while supporting departmental knowledge management initiatives and operational needs. About You You possess extensive market research experience and a strong understanding of brand and advertising tracking, campaign evaluation, and creative concept testing methodologies. You are a skilled project manager with a proven ability to deliver comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research projects, alongside detailed analytic reporting. Proficiency in a range of analysis and reporting techniques, and familiarity with tools such as SPSS/Q, Qualtrics, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential.
