Owned and operated by hospitality and tourism specialists Artemus Group, Manly Wharf is Sydney’s iconic waterfront destination, blending heritage charm with a vibrant community spirit. This is your chance to play a key role in the pipeline of our event sales, while planning and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Key responsibilities include: Sales Responsibilities: Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings and achieve revenue targets Manage a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting Conduct site inspections to showcase the venue and drive sales Prepare proposals and issue contracts aligned with client objectives and profitability Maintain accurate client and event records in event management software (e.g., IVvy) Represent the precinct at networking events, trade shows, and promotional activations Maximise revenue through upselling of venue features, packages, and premium services Event Planning Responsibilities: Act as primary client contact from confirmation to delivery Prepare and manage planning and operational documents (BEOs, run sheets, floorplans, event briefs) Conduct client meetings and walk-throughs to finalise logistics, styling, and guest experience Liaise with internal teams (culinary, beverage, operations, AV, styling) for seamless event delivery Coordinate with external suppliers and third-party vendors Ensure all event details are accurately recorded in the event management system Manage multiple events simultaneously, meeting deadlines and operational requirements What we are looking for: • Previous experience in event sales, planning, or coordination within hospitality, hotel, or event environments • Exceptional organisational and time management skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence • Calm, solutions-focused under pressure, particularly in live event scenarios • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software (IVvy desirable) • Understanding of floorplans, bump-in/out timelines, and basic AV/styling elements • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required Why you’ll love working for us?
