About Our Client: Our Client is a growing Brisbane-based engineering and technical services company. They design, build and commission industrial EI&C systems across manufacturing, industrial refrigeration, fuel terminals, mining and general industry. About the Role: Our Client is seeking a practical and experienced Senior EI&C Engineer to lead technical delivery, guide junior engineers and support field activities. You will split your time between design, documentation, site work and project coordination, ensuring safe, compliant and constructible EI&C solutions. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and act as the technical lead on projects aligned to your strengths, whether in controls, electrical or instrumentation. Key responsibilities include: Lead EI&C design, review and approval activities across electrical, instrumentation and control systems Prepare drawings, schematics, work packs, test plans and technical documentation Ensure compliance with AS3000 and internal QA, change management and documentation control processes Support installation, programming, calibration, troubleshooting and commissioning of PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation and networking equipment Attend client sites to inspect works, validate designs, complete inductions and understand field conditions Manage technical delivery of assigned projects, including procurement support, raising POs and expediting materials Lead project review meetings, contribute to constructability reviews and identify technical issues early Respond to RFIs and liaise with clients on technical matters Mentor two to three junior engineers, review their work and provide day-to-day guidance Offer technical support to electrical supervisors, HA electricians and technicians in the field Prepare quotations and assist with scoping and estimating EI&C work Contribute to continuous improvement of designs, processes and systems More Information: Employment type: Permanent, full-time Location Brisbane, QLD Travel: Mostly local, with occasional regional travel and 20 percent uplift for remote work Working rights: Must have full Australian working rights Career progression: Opportunities to lead technical areas or grow toward an engineering management pathway Requirements About You: Experience & Skills: 6–10 years of industrial EI&C engineering experience (strong portfolios with fewer years also considered) Hands-on commissioning and industrial site experience, not only office-based design Strong EI&C design capability and ability to interpret drawings, work packs and engineering documents Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and common PLC/SCADA platforms, ideally Siemens and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Solid understanding of Australian Standards, especially AS3000, and awareness of QLD RPEQ requirements RPEQ registered or progressing toward it Strong communication skills, clear documentation ability and confidence working with clients and technicians Bachelor of Engineering (electrical or related discipline) Valid driver’s licence Nice to Have: Hazardous area exposure Ignition SCADA experience Background in manufacturing, fuel terminals or mining Basic commercial awareness
