Farming Family Household Support/Nanny & Livestock Stationhand Walgett NSW Start: Mid-December Period: 3months with likely extension We are currently seeking a working couple keen to work for a young farming family in northwest NSW, fulfilling various duties to support the family, such as nannying and light household duties, garden maintenance, school bus runs and the second role will involve all typical livestock related farmwork and upkeep of the yards. Role Descriptions Caretaker / Nanny: Assisting the farm owners in and around their homestead and garden, supporting them with activities for their children, particularly their 2 & 3 year old boys, packing lunches, school bus runs, helping with kid's dinners, tidying up and other light household duties and cleaning. There may also be some light gardening and mowing work around the houses, and caretaking and cleaning of other living areas. Potentially there may be some travel with the family to the coast, but this will be communicated and worked out with you both. Stockhand / Stationhand: Assisting the Stock Manager, the role will involve mustering of both cattle and sheep, checking waters, feeding stock, fencing and repairs, yard work and other general farm tasks and tractor and loader operating. Benefits Hourly wages to be negotiated but likely starting around $32/hr. Accommodation will be provided on-farm in the form of a fully furnished 2-bedroom farm cottage with utilities and all linen supplied. A vehicle is required as the location is remote, but vehicles will be provided for all work purposes. Start date of mid December.
