The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Specialist - Microscopy to manage a specialist portfolio across Victoria. This is a technical specialist sales role, well suited to someone with a strong scientific background who enjoys hands-on application support, troubleshooting, and working closely with end users. Unlike traditional sales roles, this position places significant emphasis on building deep technical capability alongside commercial performance. Key Responsibilities Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets across the Victorian territory Manage a specialist portfolio covering clinical pathology, commercial accounts, and select non-key markets Develop in-depth technical knowledge of microscopy systems and applications Provide hands-on technical support, demonstrations, troubleshooting, and customer training Engage key decision-makers to promote solutions aligned to customer needs Identify and develop new business opportunities beyond existing customer relationships Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, and sales forecasting Report on market activity including competitors, grants, opportunities, and sales outcomes Work closely with marketing, product managers, service, and customer support teams Represent the business at conferences, trade shows, training, and industry events Travel domestically and internationally as required, with occasional work outside standard hours About You You are a commercially minded technical specialist who enjoys combining relationship-building with deep product knowledge and problem-solving.
