We are seeking a proactive, organised and customer-focused Wastewater Manager to oversee wastewater jobs from first enquiry through to completion. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating people, visiting sites, preparing quotes, and keeping operations running smoothly in a small but growing team. You’ll manage the workflow for wastewater services, support field staff, communicate with customers, and ensure each job is properly scoped, scheduled, documented and invoiced. This role is an operational, customer-facing coordination role where strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential. You will be supported by clear templates, checklists, job management software and an experienced business owner who provides training, direction, and technical guidance as needed. Key Responsibilities Customer & Enquiry Management Take incoming wastewater enquiries via phone, email and web forms Understand customer needs and provide clear, friendly advice Maintain communication throughout the job lifecycle Quoting & Sales Support Prepare quotes using existing templates Follow up quotes to secure bookings Update customers on timelines, requirements and next steps Site Visits & Information Gathering Attend onsite assessments to scope jobs Take measurements, photos and complete checklists Determine site requirements (pits, pumps, system condition, access needs) Scheduling & Job Coordination Plan and schedule installation and maintenance jobs Allocate tasks to team members and subcontractors Ensure materials, equipment and parts are prepared before work begins Monitor progress and adjust schedules when needed Team Leadership (Practical, On-the-Ground) Provide day-to-day direction to a small team (currently 3, growing to 5) Assist with minor troubleshooting and ensure jobs run smoothly Support and enforce established systems and processes Administration & Invoicing Complete job cards, service reports and customer documentation Maintain accurate records in the CRM and job management software Ensure invoicing information is submitted promptly and correctly Who We’re Looking For: Key Attributes Excellent communicator with strong people skills Process-driven, organised, and able to juggle multiple priorities A quick learner who thrives in a varied, hands-on operations role Comfortable leading and coordinating a small team Motivated, reliable and professional Enjoys problem-solving and improving workflow Experience & Requirements Qualifications & Essentials QBCC Plumber & Drainer Licence White Card Background in plumbing, trades, construction, service coordination or similar operational field Manual driver’s licence Comfortable quoting, scheduling and speaking with customers Ability to learn wastewater systems (training provided) Desirable: Experience with wastewater or septic systems (not essential) Experience in small business operations or job coordination What You’ll Get Competitive salary Clear processes, templates and systems already in place A supportive team and hands-on mentoring from the owner Autonomy to organise your day and improve workflows Opportunity to grow your leadership capability as the team expands How to apply click Apply Now and submit your resume.
