The Mandurah Community Connect Hub serves the local community by providing a safe and welcoming space that assist our response to community needs. We partner with community members by providing assistance with food and hygiene needs. We also have some smaller groups that our community members can participate in e.g. in our gardens, chapel services, we also offer Financial Counselling with Money Care and other services. With guidance from the Ministry Leader, our V- Assistant Ministry Leader provides support and assistance in the development, implementation, facilitation of ministry and programs. Ministry Assistants are available to provide spiritual and practical care and support to community members and other team members. The V- Assistant Ministry Leader ensures smooth team operations and effective collaboration for all. Key responsibilities Assist in the facilitation of the activities, organise tasks related to packing of food and materials in readiness for community members. Provide pastoral care when required for other volunteers and community members, ensuring a supportive and caring environment for all participants. Assist with managing group dynamics to ensure full enjoyment of the activity and respond to individual needs as required. Engage in confidential debrief on activity with Ministry Leader, recording any concerns and follow ups with individuals, assist in the recording of data entry and referrals as guided by the Ministry Leader to The Salvation Army Doorways Caseworker and Moneycare team or other services. Facilitate opportunities for those accessing the community centre to connect with the local Salvation Army mission at Mandurah. Qualifications and skills (desired/required) Commitment to the Christian faith required Experience in developing and evaluating ministries Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Effective planning, coordination and organisational skills Experience or studies in relevant field, such as ministry & social work Background checks play an important part in our commitment to being a safe organisation.
