Reporting into the Studio & Production Manager , our Animation Designer will be central to bringing our brand stories to life across digital, social and internal channels. Working within a dynamic in-house studio, you will craft high-quality motion graphics and animated content that elevate our creative outputs and enhance our visual identity. This role is ideal for a confident motion designer with a strong portfolio in 2D animation, motion graphics, storyboarding and compositing — someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and loves turning ideas into dynamic, impactful content. This is a full-time role , based at our Melbourne Campus. Upon passing probation time, you might be eligible to 2 set days on campus (Tuesday & Thursday) and flexible working arrangements on other days. What you’ll be doing (Your Impact) Design & Production Create motion graphics, animations and short-form video content across web, social, presentations, events and internal channels. Transform static brand assets into dynamic motion while keeping brand integrity front and centre. Contribute to storyboards, style frames , concept development and motion guidelines. Use the full Adobe Suite — After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign — to produce polished, high-quality outputs. Support animation needs across the brand refresh, including new brand models and motion identity. Collaboration Work closely with designers, copywriters, project managers, producers and marketing partners to deliver cohesive multi-channel creative. Collaborate across the university to develop visual narratives and concepts. Take direction, respond well to feedback, and bring forward fresh, innovative ideas. Share templates, motion assets and best practice tools with the studio team. Technical Delivery Optimise all outputs for platform-specific technical requirements (web, social, HTML5, broadcast). Manage multiple projects at once, balancing deadlines, revisions and priorities. Produce 2D character animation, kinetic typography, logo animation and compositing work. Prepare files for delivery across digital and dynamic display formats. Who are you? (Key Skills & Attributes) To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: Experience & Capability 2–5 years’ experience in motion graphics, animation or a similar creative role. A portfolio showcasing strong 2D animation , motion design, compositing and storytelling. Experience working with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign (mandatory). Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, composition and visual identity. Ability to manage competing deadlines, revisions and multiple creative briefs. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a studio environment. Experience transforming new brand concepts into motion highly regarded. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Motion Design, Visual Effects or related field. Bonus Skills Experience with HTML5 motion assets Understanding of motion guidelines and brand expression Ability to develop templates or toolkits for creative teams Who are we?
