About the role and where you will be working: The Quality Coordinator works closely with the General Manager Clinical Governance and the Quality Manager to support Residential, Home Care, Mental Health, and Disability teams in maintaining and improving quality systems and processes. The role ensures Southern Cross Care (WA) meets or exceeds all Accreditation and Quality Standards through hands-on leadership and expertise. It also promotes contemporary clinical care and nurse education practices in alignment with the Southern Cross Model of Care, collaborating with key internal teams to strengthen workforce capability. Additionally, the position leads Quality Improvement initiatives, including education, training, and preparation for accreditation. We’ll also be asking you to: Lead and implement activities to ensure Southern Cross Care (WA) meets all compliance and accreditation requirements Conduct quality audits, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous quality improvement practices Support the Quality and Compliance Manager in designing and implementing robust systems and processes that meet accreditation standards Manage accreditation activities, including self-assessment, evidence gathering, project management, and the Clinical Governance Framework Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, policies, procedures, the Aged Care Code of Conduct, and NDIS Standards Promote a safe, respectful, and collaborative work environment by maintaining compliance documentation, following safety procedures, and contributing to a positive team culture. To be considered for this role, you’ll need: Comprehensive understanding of LARU Licensing Standards for Private Psychiatric Hostels and compliance with relevant legislation in Home Care, Mental Health, and Disability services. Sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and experience with Accreditation and re-accreditation processes, including participation in the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program. Demonstrated quality management expertise, including leading continuous improvement initiatives and applying risk management and WHS policies Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, and manage competing demands effectively. Highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration with diverse stakeholders and promoting a positive organisational culture. Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and relevant clinical software, with experience in large and complex service delivery environments (desirable).
