About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to support a pipeline of upcoming civil and water infrastructure works in regional New South Wales. This is a site-based role that will involve supporting multiple work fronts as they progress, ensuring strong environmental compliance, proactive risk management and clear communication with our delivery teams. Travel will form part of the role and FIFO or DIDO arrangements can be considered. Day to day, you will: • Provide practical environmental support to site teams, helping maintain compliance and best practice. • Develop, review and implement environmental management plans, risk assessments and supporting documentation. • Conduct inspections, audits and incident investigations, ensuring timely close out of actions. • Identify and manage environmental risks across various work fronts. • Liaise with regulators, clients and other stakeholders as required. • Monitor and report on environmental performance, ensuring obligations are met across the broader program of works. • Support project planning and delivery by providing sound technical environmental advice. What You’ll Bring to the Team 5 years of experience as an Environmental Advisor within Civil Construction Qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline, with in-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks Proven expertise in applying and managing environmental standards across complex, high-profile projects Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, clients and regulatory bodies A strategic mindset to foresee risks, implement proactive solutions and ensure top tier environmental compliance and sustainability Proven ability to integrate environmental objectives into project goals, fostering a culture of environmental excellence Why you should work with us Our people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure that this is the kind of place where great people enjoy working for the long term.
