In this role you will:- Manage and lead projects and provide professional, authoritative, and timely advice to colleagues and senior management to inform strategic legislative and policy initiatives and solutions including preparation of associated supporting policy and technical documents, including for amending existing or creating new legislation.- Research and prepare proposals, project plans, recommendations, Cabinet and Cabinet Budget Review Committee submissions, legislative amendments and other legislative proposals, Executive Council Minutes, and briefing papers of a complex nature, in consultation with key external and internal stakeholders.- Apply structured policy and project management approaches to support development of a range of Sport and Recreation solutions.- Provide advice to support the implementation of effective strategies to achieve major reform initiatives that increase sector capability and capacity in alignment with whole of government policy directions and variations in regions, communities, and client groups.- Represent Sport and Recreation in a professional manner and provide expert technical advice in dealings with internal and external clients.- As a member of the Sport and Recreation team you will lead by example in ensuring you demonstrate the agreed to principles of honesty, trust, accountability, transparency, and inclusiveness.- Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours, ensuring a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
