About the opportunity: The Residential Building Designer is part of the Wilson Homes Multi -Residential team and reports to the General Manager of Wilson Multi. The key focus of this role Is to design and draft Wilson Complete packages and assist with concept designs for Wilson Multi residential developments. More specifically, you will: • Lead the design and documentation of Wilsons Complete projects ensuring accuracy, buildability and compliance across all stages • Support the development of concept designs for Multi residential developments ensuring clarity of scope and alignment of estimating needs • Interpret local authority regulations for single and multiple dwelling developments to guide design decisions and support smooth approvals. • Follow internal drafting guidelines and Australian Standards to deliver high quality drawings, • Respond to council requests, RFIs and technical enquires, providing technical advice and drafting solution • Work collaboratively with internal and external parties to communicate building requirements. About you: You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will: • Experience working in a residential home construction with Multi-residential experience highly regarded • Experience and proficiency in ArchiCad • Thorough knowledge of building code, residential code, covenants and developer requirements • High attention to detail and take great pride in your work • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication • Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet assigned timeframes and deadlines • Be an accredited building services provider or ability to become accredited.
