Rogertex NSW is an Australian-owned building contractor located in Petersham NSW 2049 offering cement & acrylic rendering, mouldings & cladding, painting, tiling and waterproofing, plus pool rendering, maintenance, remedial work, rubbish removal and Hebel installation. Rogertex NSW is now looking for an experienced Painter to join their team. The right candidate will be responsible for: Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming to ensure proper adhesion. Remove old paint, wallpaper, and surface coverings; mask windows, frames, doors, and fixtures before painting. Mix paints, textures, and finishes to required colour and consistency. Apply paint, texture coatings, and protective finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Repair and sand joints, cracks, and imperfections to create smooth, even surfaces. Cut, prepare, and install wallpaper and other decorative coverings as required. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe condition. Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality finishes that meet company and client standards. Follow all workplace safety procedures and industry best practices on-site. Assist with related rendering or finishing tasks as needed to support project completion. About you: At least 1 year of experience as a Painter; Strong attention to detail to achieve smooth, high-quality and professional finishes. Proficiency in surface preparation, including cleaning, patching, sanding, priming, and masking. Solid knowledge of painting techniques, including brushwork, rolling, spraying, and texture application. Job type: Permanent/full-time Salary: $76,000 - $85,000
