Development and Engagement Coordinator – Youth Insearch Newly created coordination role supporting fundraising, grants, marketing, and stakeholder engagement to help empower young people recovering from trauma. Impact you will make in this role The Development & Engagement Coordinator is a newly created role that will contribute across Youth Insearch’s fundraising, grants, government relations, marketing, and engagement functions. Working closely with the General Manager, Development and Engagement, you’ll help drive high-quality written content, research, stakeholder communication, and project delivery that strengthens the organisation’s profile and supports long-term sustainability. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys diving into research and storytelling, and is energised by project-based work with a tangible, life-changing impact on young people recovering from trauma. Key Responsibilities Writing & Content Development Prepare briefing documents, papers, and high-quality written materials. Support the development of grant applications and research-based proposals. Create compelling, research-driven communications for philanthropic engagement. Draft copy for fundraising campaigns, blogs, and digital channels. Produce engaging social media content and support SEO initiatives. Planning & Project Delivery Coordinate meetings with government, funders, philanthropists, and key partners. Prepare pre-meeting briefs and manage post-meeting follow-up communications. Support the implementation of fundraising and engagement campaigns. Research & Insights Identify and research grant opportunities and funder trends. Collect and analyse data to deliver tailored impact reporting. Provide insights to inform fundraising, government engagement, and marketing strategies. Administration & Operations Maintain accurate records in Salesforce across grants, donors, funders, and stakeholders. Support reporting processes and ensure data accuracy across systems. Update website content and coordinate event logistics. Process invoices and provide general administrative support to the team. Skills & Experience You’re an organised, curious, and proactive self-starter who enjoys writing, research and supporting projects that make an impact. You bring strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to navigate competing priorities. You will have: Degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, communications, policy, government, law, social work or similar. Strong copywriting skills across grants, stories, blogs, and reports. Demonstrated experience with research and data analysis. Strong written and verbal communication. Project management and organisational capability. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Salesforce knowledge is desirable.
