Your Employer Our client is a long-established broadacre and horticulture farming enterprise operating extensive cropping, irrigation, and machinery assets across the Griffith region. They run a diverse fleet of harvesters, tractors, stationary pumps, generators and fixed plant that requires consistent maintenance to support year-round operations. Your Role The Mechanical Fitter / Mechanic will carry out service, maintenance and repair work across both mobile and stationary equipment. This full-time position supports day-to-day operational reliability and provides breakdown response across multiple farm sites. The role covers diesel mechanical duties on agricultural machinery as well as mechanical fitting tasks on fixed plant and irrigation systems. Key Responsibilities - Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on tractors, harvesters, machinery and general farm vehicles - Carry out mechanical fitting duties on pumps, generators, irrigation systems and other stationary plant - Diagnose mechanical faults and implement repair solutions across hydraulic, engine and drivetrain systems - Support installation and upkeep of farm infrastructure and operational equipment - Respond to machinery breakdowns and undertake troubleshooting to minimise downtime - Operate and maintain workshop tools and equipment - Complete accurate service logs and work in line with safety and biosecurity requirements Skills and Experience - Certificate IV in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent - Minimum 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience in agricultural machinery, earthmoving equipment, maintenance or mechanical fitting - Demonstrated ability to diagnose faults and undertake hydraulic, mechanical and general machinery repairs - Ability to work independently across multiple work sites with strong problem-solving capability Salary and Benefits $77,000 to $85,000 per year plus superannuation
