We are seeking an experienced Project Architect or Senior Architect who wants to take on greater leadership, run projects with confidence, and mentor others — all within a highly respected national design practice with a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture. You will work across a diverse portfolio of commercial, defence, institutional, community, and civic projects , ranging from crafted small-scale works through to major complex developments valued in the hundreds of millions. About the Role In this role, you will act as a project leader —taking ownership across multiple stages, setting the direction for project delivery, and ensuring quality outcomes. Overview of the role: Leading smaller projects independently from concept to completion Overseeing packages or managing small teams on larger, more complex projects Running client and consultant coordination day-to-day Providing design leadership and technical guidance Supporting and mentoring graduates and junior architects Ensuring project outcomes meet design, quality, and delivery expectations You will be trusted with autonomy, expected to take initiative, and supported to grow your influence within the studio. About You You are passionate, capable, and ready to step into a more senior role where your leadership and project-running skills can shine. Ideally, you will have: Registered Architect (or equivalent experience as a Senior/Project Architect) 5–10 years’ architectural experience with strong project-leading capability Proven experience delivering projects end-to-end Ability to run projects independently and lead teams confidently Strong documentation, design resolution, and technical capability Proficiency in Revit Excellent communication and presentation skills A collaborative, low-ego approach with the ability to build strong relationships A desire to mentor, guide, and support junior team members Experience in commercial, institutional, defence, or complex project sectors Australian Citizenship (required for certain project types) We welcome candidates from both large-scale and smaller boutique practices — leadership capability, initiative, and alignment with team values are most important.
