About the role (Fixed-Term 12 month contract) We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced professional with at least 5 years’ experience in medium and large-scale Information Technology (IT) environments. This hybrid role blends IT/OT systems engineering, project deployment and consulting with hands-on infrastructure and storage support for on-prem Linux, WordPress hosting, VMware, Commvault, and SAN/NAS platforms. You will work alongside senior IT/OT resources on large programs and independently deliver smaller projects and operational tasks for enterprise and SME clients. These tasks can be conducted onsite at client locations or remote from Denver offices with some minimal travel required. The position is primarily centred around project deployment and consulting tasks involving the upgrade, remediation, review and analysis of systems infrastructure. What you’ll do Attend client sites and online meetings providing technical expertise and guidance supporting Senior IT/OT Engineers and Business Development Managers as needed. Attend and contribute to Change Request review meetings as needed. Configure, deploy, remediate, upgrade and test systems/cloud and networking solutions for clients. Contribute to proposed systems, Cloud and network architecture solutions and recommendations regarding the architecture designs Perform onsite client work and remote delivery from Denver offices. Provide Level 2/3 support for Linux, Windows, VMware, storage, Commvault, and WordPress-related incidents and service requests. Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux: patching, hardening, SELinux, systemd services, and routine maintenance. Contribute to the creation of accurate, complete, and well thought out technical architecture designs and create LLD/HLD documents with attention to detail What you’ll bring At least 5 years’ experience as a Systems, or Cloud Engineer. Information Technology (IT) Qualification such as Tafe Certificate IV/Diploma or Bachelor of Computer Science/Information Technology Degree or equivalent education/experience. Microsoft Server, Azure or Office 365 certification or equivalent knowledge/experience with one or more of these platforms. Knowledge/experience with either Hyper-V and/or VMware hypervisor platforms. Ability to communicate effectively in multi-disciplinary team environments including hybrid teams involving Client and Denver resources. Australian Citizen or permanent resident. Cloud: Experience with Azure IaaS/SaaS deployment and administration. Commvault Advanced: Deep knowledge of Commvault tuning, media agent optimisation, and catalogue recovery.
