Job Description Maitland & Cessnock | SCCP Program | Mai-Wel Mai-Wel is growing, and we’re excited to welcome a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to our Supported Community Connections Program (SCCP). With new participants commencing and funding approved, this role offers secure hours and the chance to genuinely make a difference. About the Role This position provides 1:1 supports delivered at SCCP Maitland and within the community. You will be supporting participants to build independence, engage in meaningful activities, and achieve their personal goals. You will also be required to travel to Cessnock to support existing participants, with the opportunity to add an ongoing Tuesday shift in Cessnock once additional new participants commence (timing to be confirmed). This role is suitable for someone who is confident working independently, adaptable, and committed to high-quality, person-centred support. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support both onsite (Maitland) and in the community Deliver supports safely, professionally, and in line with participant NDIS goals Assist with daily living activities, skill development and community access Travel between Maitland and Cessnock as required Maintain accurate documentation and uphold privacy and confidentiality Work independently while remaining connected to the broader SCCP team Desired Skills and Experience About You We are looking for someone who is: Experienced working independently and confident making sound decisions Highly dependable , with strong communication and time-management skills Experienced in personal care (highly desirable) Passionate about supporting people with disability to live their best life Flexible and open to additional shifts as the program grows Essential Requirements Current NDIS Worker Check Working With Children Check National Police Check First Aid & CPR (3 units) Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle Why Join Mai-Wel?
