Your New Role The Brand Communications Manager is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of a truly integrated brand and communication strategy to strengthen our brand trust and preference, and to positively impact our acquisition and engagement targets. A key component of this role is to ensure AustralianSuper’s brand is consistently articulated and expressed across all touchpoints, communicating our purpose, values and positioning. The purpose of this role is to champion and evolve the AustralianSuper brand. Working closely with the Head of Brand & Growth Marketing and the Lead Brand Communications Manager, you will develop and maintain the Fund’s brand strategy through a go-to-market plan that drives competitive advantage and differentiation, while futureproofing our market-leading position. You’ll collaborate proactively across the Fund to advocate for the brand, ensuring stakeholders harness its value through consistent expression in all communications. Acting as a trusted voice, you will influence the development of creative, content, and experiences across both Direct and Intermediary marketing initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to Leverage brand health data, competitor insights, and best-in-class marketing principles to lead the advancement of the AustralianSuper brand globally. Build brand equity through continuous delivery, applying test-and-learn and optimisation processes to achieve measurable outcomes. Provide strategic direction on how brand communications support the brand strategy and components of the brand plan, including direction on the brand health metrics, driven by communications that are required to support the Funds long term strategy, including but not limited to media share of voice, awareness, and preference Manage the application of third-party endorsements (e.g. Awards) to promote the Fund’s go-to-market proposition Partner with Research and Insights teams to interpret brand tracking and campaign data to inform strategy, creative direction and media investment decisions Working closely with UX, CX and digital channel teams, feed into the development of optimised experiences which embody our key brand values across digital channels Through the development of an evaluation framework, identify partnerships, sponsorships, influencer and activations opportunities, reinforcing our purpose and relevance. Administer the timely and considered review of marketing collateral to ensure it aligns to brand guidelines What You’ll Need Extensive experience in Brand Communications and Marketing, with a proven track record of delivering impactful outcomes. A background in Financial Services is highly regarded. Strong brand experience, demonstrating the ability to manage and influence stakeholders effectively. Solid understanding of brand tracking, with the capability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Proven experience driving brand refresh and brand change projects. Advanced expertise in brand research and creative development. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional relationship-building skills and the confidence to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
