Project and Events Officer Sydney based Immediate start Full-time, 5/6 month contract About this role: Our client is seeking a highly creative and organised Project and Events Officer with demonstrated experience working with First Nations communities. This role is heavily focused on supporting First Nations programs and events. Strong cultural competency, respect for First Nations protocols, and the ability to engage confidently and appropriately with First Nations stakeholders are essential. This is a short-term contract requiring someone who can manage event logistics, lead end-to-end event administration, and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external partners. Key responsibilities and capabilities: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to plan and deliver major First Nations events, including the First Nations Arts and Culture Awards 2026, ensuring all logistics and administrative tasks are managed effectively. Develop detailed event project plans, proposals, briefings, and reports to support First Nations Arts Strategic Initiatives and programs. Oversee end-to-end administration for event-related applications and investments, including contract development and tracking through the application management system. Act as the primary liaison for event-related requests, providing culturally safe and accessible advice to First Nations artists and arts organisations in line with First Nations protocols. Monitor event budgets and expenditure, preparing timely updates, reports, and executive briefs for senior leadership. Coordinate post-event evaluations, collating data to measure impact and report on the value of Creative Australia projects to the arts sector and broader industry.
