What You’ll Do: Drive New Business: Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across the construction sector Cold call, prospect, and build a strong pipeline of active and future clients Build Strong Customer Relationships: Nurture long-term relationships with existing and potential customers Provide tailored solutions, answer enquiries, and deliver exceptional service Deliver Sales Growth: Meet and exceed sales targets, quotas, and activity expectations Develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term business development plans Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the Profit Centre Manager to secure, retain, and grow accounts Assist in planning, forecasting, and implementing sales and marketing strategies Stay Organised & Insight-Driven: Maintain CRM data, sales pipelines, and accurate customer records Keep up to date with market movements, customer needs, and competitor activity About You: Proven Sales Experience: You have previous B2B business development or external sales experience, ideally within construction, industrial supplies, hardware or trade-related industries. Existing Industry Network Advantage: Experience or customer contacts within the construction industry will be highly regarded. Communication & Relationship Skills: Confident communicating at all levels, with excellent verbal and written skills. You enjoy cold calling, networking, and creating strong customer connections. Driven & Results-Focused: Ambitious, persuasive, energetic and goal-oriented — with a track record of achieving (or exceeding) sales targets. Autonomous but Collaborative: Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a positive team culture. Tech-Capable: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
