We’re excited to introduce a brand-new opportunity within Bega Group’s IT team, a hands-on role for a true cybersecurity all-rounder. This is your chance to shape and deliver our Cyber Security Roadmap, driving best-practice controls and building resilience across our enterprise. In this pivotal position, you’ll lead security operations and incident response, design secure architectures, and ensure compliance with industry-proven security standards. You’ll also provide technical guidance and mentorship to support the existing security team that safeguards our business and supports innovation. This role requires occasional availability outside standard business hours to respond to urgent matters. Responsibilities Shape and deliver the Cyber Security Roadmap, driving implementation of industry-aligned controls and best practices Lead security operations and incident response, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, and SOC oversight Design and maintain secure architectures, policies, and frameworks across infrastructure, applications, and cloud platforms Ensure compliance and resilience, aligning with standards such as ISO 27001, ASD Essential Eight, and NIST Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a high-performing team and driving continuous security improvements About you Proven career in cyber security, with experience mentoring teams and driving high performance Deep technical expertise in security operations, secure architecture, risk management, and incident response. Experience in AI security/governance will be a plus. Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, ASD Essential Eight, and NIST CSF 2.0 Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and cloud security controls Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and advise Bega Group Story Bega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
