Overview We’re looking for a confident, strategically minded, and creatively driven Business Director to help lead TBWA\Sydney’s key client relationships. As a Business Director, you’ll be responsible for guiding the day-to-day and mid-to-long-term health of your client business: setting clear direction, championing the work, and driving operational excellence. You’ll partner closely with mid - senior clients, help shape the strategic and creative output, and play a central role in delivering integrated, disruptive ideas that solve real business problems. Key Responsibilities Client Leadership Serve as the key contact for mid-senior marketing clients, building trusted, collaborative relationships. Understand client business challenges and help translate them into clear strategic and creative opportunities. Confidently present work, thinking, and recommendations - bringing a point of view and guiding clients with clarity. Campaign Leadership Oversee the development and delivery of integrated campaigns across all channels (TV, digital, social, experiential, OOH). Write and refine high-quality briefs that inspire teams and stay aligned with brand and business objectives. Partner with Creative, Strategy, and Production to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest creative standard. Quality-control all outputs to ensure they’re accurate, on-strategy, and beautifully crafted. Commercial & Operational Management Manage scopes of work, budgets, and timelines with confidence and transparency. Forecast revenue and support financial tracking to maintain strong commercial performance on the account. Identify risks early and work with the team to solve challenges proactively. Support senior business leads in planning, growth, and long-term account health. Team Leadership Mentor and guide junior team members (BMs and SBMs), helping them develop skills and confidence. Promote a collaborative, solutions-focused team environment. Contribute positively to the culture, supporting the creative process and championing TBWA’s values. Experience & Skills 5-7 years experience in a creative or integrated agency Proven track record managing multi-channel campaigns from briefing to production. Strong strategic understanding and ability to elevate work with smart questions and sharp thinking. Excellent written and verbal communication- clear, polished, thoughtful, and persuasive. Confident in client management, internal leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, scopes, and profitability.
