Technical Sales Specialist – Underground Mining Simulation Location: Perth CBD, WA Engagement: Permanent, full-time About the Role: Our client is launching a next-generation underground mining simulation platform and is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist who can bridge the gap between underground mining domain expertise and disciplined SaaS sales execution. You will open new opportunities, shape solution value, and drive adoption across tier 1-3 mining operators, contractors and engineering consultancies. Your technical credibility with underground stakeholders, combined with structured sales capability, will be essential to gaining traction in a rapidly evolving technology category. What You’ll Be Doing • Building and managing a qualified sales pipeline across mining operators, contractors and specialist underground consultancies • Running structured sales cycles from outreach and qualification through to scoping, proposal development, negotiation and close • Positioning simulation-led solutions with planners, engineers, superintendents and executive decision-makers • Tailoring demos and solution narratives with the technical team to ensure clarity of value and delivery alignment • Providing market insights to influence product positioning, competitive differentiation and roadmap direction • Undertaking occasional travel to sites or regional hubs as required Key Outcomes & Measures • New deals opened per quarter • Strength and value of the live sales pipeline • Closed-won revenue against targets • Opportunity win rate • Gross profit margin across sales About You: You combine underground mining knowledge and personal experience with commercial discipline. You are confident engaging with both site-based and corporate stakeholders, bringing credibility through hands-on experience or established industry relationships. You are energised by category creation, value-led selling and introducing innovative tools that materially improve underground planning and decision-making. Must-Have Skills & Experience • Software sales experience, ideally SaaS, within mining or industrial technology • Existing relationships across tier 1-3 mining companies is key!
