About the role Alice Springs Men’s Hostel provides accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, and referrals to specialist services. The After-Hours team ensures the safety and wellbeing of all clients and staff outside business hours, working in line with each client’s Case Management Plan and The Salvation Army’s policies and procedures. This is a Permanent, Full-time role based in Alice Springs, NT. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 3 . How you will make an impact Ensure continuity of client care and communicate case plan progress for handover Maintain accurate client records and meet administrative requirements Build effective working relationships with staff, case managers, and stakeholders Monitor building activity and security via CCTV; manage grounds respectfully Respond promptly to incidents impacting resident safety, including emergencies, in line with policy Adhere to centre guidelines, policies, and procedures, reporting breaches immediately What you will bring Certificate III in Community Services (desirable) Previous experience in a similar role Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language Knowledge of local Aboriginal communities and culture (highly regarded) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Current NT Driver’s Licence About us The Salvation Army is a Christian movement dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus by caring for people, building healthy communities, creating faith pathways, and working for justice.
