Through a dedicated team of nurses, counsellors, advocates, and engagement professionals, OCA delivers free, evidence-based, specialist support services across Australia and advocates for better treatments, increased research funding, and health system reform. With a bold new strategic plan underway, OCA is expanding its reach to support all women affected by gynaecological cancers, ensuring that no one walks alone. Impact you will have in this role As Gift in Wills Specialist, you will lead the development and growth of OCA’s legacy giving program. With empathy, professionalism, and purpose, you’ll inspire supporters to leave a lasting gift and steward relationships that honour their connection to the cause. Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, you will design and deliver a meaningful stewardship journey that deepens engagement and secures long-term support. From nurturing new leads and confirmed pledgers to liaising with executors and legal representatives, your work will ensure each supporter feels valued and that every legacy gift creates enduring impact. You’ll work collaboratively with the Fundraising and Marketing teams to bring legacy stories to life, embedding bequest messaging across campaigns, appeals, and supporter communications. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the annual Gift in Wills plan and growth strategy. Partner with Safewill and other lead-generation partners to build a robust pipeline. Set and track annual targets for confirmed pledges and expectancies. Build and maintain warm, trusted relationships with potential and confirmed bequestors. Deliver thoughtful stewardship activities, including events recognising and thanking supporters. Represent OCA with empathy, discretion, and integrity in all supporter interactions. Collaborate with Fundraising and Marketing to create compelling legacy campaigns. Embed bequest opportunities across appeals, newsletters, website, and collateral. Coordinate participation in national initiatives such as Include a Charity Week . Maintain accurate records in Salesforce of all bequest conversations, pledges, and estate matters. Liaise with executors and solicitors to ensure timely and ethical estate administration. Provide regular reports on program performance and insights to guide future strategy. Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor relations, or relationship management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of wills, bequests, or estate planning processes is desirable. Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems. Excellent organisation and project management skills with attention to detail. Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams. Deep alignment with OCA’s mission and values, and an empathetic understanding of the cause.
