We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor on behalf of a well-established client within the heavy industrial sector. This permanent, full-time role is based in the Upper Hunter and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a strong safety culture within a major operational environment. About the Opportunity Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Safety professional with solid experience in heavy industry, ideally within mining services. The successful candidate will support site leadership teams, promote safe work practices, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and internal standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments Lead and support incident investigations and corrective actions Deliver safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks Contribute to the development and review of WHS policies and procedures Provide practical, solutions-focused safety advice to supervisors, contractors, and operational teams Monitor safety performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives About You Demonstrated experience in heavy industry safety, ideally including mining services/ operations Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and industry best practice Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the workforce Strong analytical and problem-solving capability Relevant WHS qualifications (Cert IV or Diploma) Demonstrated experience in incident investigations A proactive approach with a genuine commitment to positive safety outcomes This is a residential role, so you must live in the area or be willing to relocate Why Apply?
