Our client is looking for an Australian-based IBM Sterling Technical Consultant to review a solution implementation, integrations, workflow, provide ongoing recommendations, support and guidance. You will work with and alongside client subject matter experts to manage and automate business-to-business communications. The ideal candidate will be based in Sydney, NSW but remote working will be considered for the right candidate. This is likely to be a long-term contract position for at least 2 years. Key Responsibilities: Work with the Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) and Sterling File Gateway (SFG) for managing and automating business-to-business communications. Develop, configure, and deploy Sterling Platform solutions to optimize B2B workflows and integrations. Implement automation workflows and processes using Jenkins and custom scripts. Design and implement integrations between Sterling Platform and external systems. Ensure the platform is running efficiently, handling troubleshooting and performance tuning when necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize Sterling-based solutions. Perform version control and maintain the repository with Git, utilizing effective branching strategies. Create, test, and deploy custom scripts for automation of file transfers and data processing within the Sterling environment. Required Skills: Experience with Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) and Sterling File Gateway (SFG). Proficiency in Python, Java, and Bash shell scripting. Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation. Strong understanding of Git and branching strategies for code versioning. Solid Java programming skills, with experience in building and maintaining enterprise-level applications. Familiarity with Sterling integration tools (e.g., connectors, adapters, and maps) is highly desirable. Notes: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
