Civil Design Engineer Location: Sydney Office Summary Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer with at least 5 years of Australian experience to join their team. You’ll work autonomously on urban development projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, and education sectors, delivering high-quality civil design for roads, stormwater systems, carparks, pavements, and driveways. About You Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil design engineering within Australia. Strong knowledge of roads, OSD, WSUD, stormwater/drainage systems, pavements, carparks, and driveways. Confident working independently with excellent stakeholder management skills, liaising with engineers, architects, and clients. Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers is highly valued. Proficient in MUSIC and DRAINS; knowledge of AutoCAD, 12d, or Civil 3D is advantageous. Motivated to contribute to a team and potentially take on leadership responsibilities as the team grows. About the Role Lead civil design delivery for urban development projects supporting buildings across education, residential, mixed-use, and commercial sectors. Produce and review design documentation, calculations, and drawings to meet project requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and clients. Mentor and support two junior engineers, helping them develop skills and confidence. Receive guidance and support from senior management while contributing to team growth initiatives.
