Since our establishment in March 2020, we have focused on serving the Asia-Pacific region, particularly the Chinese market. We partner with FPA, one of Australia's leading health product manufactures, to supply a wide range of products including capsules, tablets, effervescent tablets, liquids, and gummies. Our main distributors located in Shanghai and Xiamen. Our goal is to expand our network across more cities and deliver high-quality products with excellent service and reliable operational support. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support our strategic expansion across the Asia marketing, with a particular focus on China. This role plays a key part in strengthening our distribution network and ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective procurement operations within the health supplements export sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Chinese health industry in supply chain risk mitigation, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure adequate stock levels of health supplements and complementary medicines while optimising cost efficiency. Negotiate pricing, supply terms, and contracts with local and international suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Collaborate with product development and quality assurance teams to establish product specifications and identify suitable raw materials or substitute options. Conduct market research to identify new products, suppliers, and sourcing opportunities, particularly within the Asia-Pacific region. Oversee supplier performance, ensure timely delivery, and arrange quality inspections of incoming goods in compliance with regulatory and company standards. Monitor inventory flow and coordinate with logistics teams to maintain smooth supply operations aligned with export schedules. Lead and supervise procurement staff , providing guidance, performance monitoring, and professional development support. Work closely with distributors and manufacturing partners to ensure consistent product availability and meet client requirements across the Chinese and broader Asia-Pacific market. Requirements Minimum of five years' experience in a Procurement Manager role within a relevant industry. A tertiary qualification in Pharmacy, Procurement Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline will be highly regarded. Strong understanding of local of business environment and demonstrated ability to adapt to Australian workplace practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills in both English and Mandarin. Sound knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements across Australia and China, with proven capability in risk identification and mitigation. Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead a team to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
