We are seeking an experienced and motivated Stockyards Leading Hand to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for daily livestock handling, coordinating yard operations, and supporting team members to ensure the safe, efficient flow of cattle through the facility. Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day operations within the stockyards Safely handle and move cattle using low-stress stock handling techniques Oversee animal welfare, yard hygiene, and biosecurity standards Coordinate and support yard staff to maintain smooth workflow Operate and maintain yard equipment and machinery Monitor cattle condition and report issues promptly Assist with loading/unloading of trucks and drafting of cattle Maintain accurate records and follow workplace health & safety procedures About You: Previous experience in cattle handling and stockyard operations (essential) Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors Knowledge of animal welfare standards and safe cattle handling practices Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused What We Offer: Competitive pay and stable full-time employment Supportive team environment Opportunities for skill development and progression Modern facilities and equipment If you are interested in joining a business where no day is the same, where you learn, grow and enjoy it all at the same time.
