Description About the role: Seymour College is seeking a proactive Education Support Officer to support our Food Technology and Art Departments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a school environment, enjoys hands-on work, and can confidently manage resources, classroom preparation and operational coordination. Working collaboratively with teaching staff, the ESO will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality learning programs by preparing materials, managing supplies, maintaining organisation within learning spaces and ensuring a smooth and efficient learning environment for students. This permanent role works 17 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. The key responsibilities are to: Food Technology Support Prepare, organise and manage materials for Food Technology classes Purchase food, materials and maintain pantry stock Collate food orders and conduct stocktakes Assist with preparation for practical lessons and demonstrations Maintain clean and organised workspaces Support WHS compliance and respond to last-minute classroom needs Art Department Support Assist with material preparation and equipment organisation Purchase supplies as required Support stocktakes and maintain the art workspace Skills And Experiences About you: The successful application will hold: Qualifications and/or proven experience in an Education Support role within a school setting. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students, staff and families. A supportive and flexible approach to working in classrooms, small groups, and one-to-one settings. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Initiative, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, collaborative attitude. Competence in using Microsoft Office and confidence in learning new systems. Current Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC certification, and First Aid (HLTAID012).
