A minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership position , such as Lead Educator , Group Leader , Early Childhood Teacher , Centre Director , or OSHC Coordinator . A current Working With Children Check , First Aid Certificate (including CPR , Asthma , and Anaphylaxis management ), and up-to-date Child Protection and Safety training . A thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) , National Quality Standards (NQS) , and the Education and Care Services National Regulations . A professional, positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing. Willingness to undergo a National Police Check (must have no criminal convictions). Key Skills & Competencies: Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support staff while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Program Planning & Delivery: Skilled in designing, implementing, and evaluating engaging educational programs aligned with the EYLF or OSHC frameworks. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Strong understanding of the NQS , EYLF , and Education and Care Services National Regulations , with demonstrated ability to uphold and lead compliance standards. Communication & Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills; able to build strong, respectful relationships with staff, children, and families. Organisational & Administrative Skills: Competent in rostering, budgeting, reporting, and maintaining accurate records (particularly relevant to Director and Coordinator positions) . Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Confident in making informed, timely decisions that promote staff and children’s wellbeing. Mentoring & Professional Development: Experienced in coaching and supporting educators to achieve professional growth and continuous improvement.
