About the Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer - Stringing to join the delivery team on the HumeLink East project. This role will support the planning, coordination, and execution of stringing activities for 500kV transmission lines, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. You will work closely with the Stringing Supervisor, Quality Advisors, and subcontractors to deliver high-voltage transmission works to specification, while managing documentation, reporting, and technical support across the site. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and execution of stringing operations for 500kV transmission lines. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and ITPs. Monitor progress against schedule and provide technical support to field teams. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Support quality assurance processes, including inspections, NCRs, and corrective actions. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, risk registers, and engineering records. Contribute to safety and environmental compliance across all stringing activities. Desirable We're seeking a skilled and qualified Project Engineer - Stringing who is eligible to work in Australia. Ideal candidates will possess: Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline). Minimum 3-5 years' experience in transmission line construction, preferably on 330kV or 500kV projects. Strong understanding of stringing methodologies, transmission structures, and HV safety protocols. Familiarity with Australian Standards, Transgrid specifications, and WHS legislation. Proficient in MS Office, project management tools, and document control systems. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills. White Card and current driver's license (MR or HR preferred). Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment comprehensive medical assessment and national police clearance (arranged by the company), including routine on-site drug and alcohol screening.
