Provide administrative support for University Sport services Ongoing, Part Time (0.4) based at the Sandy Bay Unigym About the opportunity The Sandy Bay Unigym is looking for a vibrant Administration Officer to join their team on a part time basis. As our new Administration Officer in University Sport, you will help the team deliver quality services and facilities to students, staff, and community members. In this role, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operations of Sport Services and Facilities. You will report directly to the Sport Services and Facilities Coordinator, and your position will be based at the Sandy Bay Unigym. Our ideal candidate will have experience in administrative work, strong organisational and communication skills, and a genuine interest in sport. Given the extended operating hours of Sport, the role may require some work outside of normal hours where penalty rates will apply, and flexibility to undertake customer service duties as required to support the smooth operation of University Sport. What you’ll do: Provide accurate and efficient administrative support for University Sport services, facilities and programs, including data entry, record maintenance, and internal communications. Assist with taking facility bookings, memberships, and recording of health screening documentation using gym management platforms (e.g. XPLOR), point of sale terminals (EFTPOS/cash/cheque) and Microsoft Office tools. Assist with financial processes such as invoice tracking, petty cash reconciliation, and procurement documentation Maintain organised documentation including induction forms, checklists, and operational logs, ensuring compliance with university procedures. Support event and program administration logistics, including venue and travel bookings, inventory tracking, and preparation of materials. What we’re looking for: Experience providing general administrative support in a sport, fitness, service or university setting, including handling bookings, maintaining records, and supporting day-to-day operations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with gym or facility management systems for data entry, scheduling, and member tracking. Ability to accurately process documentation, financial transactions, and health screening data, with a commitment to confidentiality and procedural compliance. Capable of managing routine tasks efficiently, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the smooth running of back-office functions. General awareness of fitness centre operations, programs, and facility use to assist with internal coordination and respond to occasional enquiries. Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to the broader goals of the university sport team. Salary details Appointment to this role will be at HEO 3 and will have a total remuneration package before any applicable penalty rates of up to $84,397 ( pro rata ) comprising base salary within the range of $65,113 to $72,134 plus 17% superannuation.
