About the Role The Assistant Director Inclusion and Capability will report to and work closely with the Director People Team to deliver key learning and development programs while supporting an inclusive culture to ensure the NACC delivers its goals. Working under limited direction, the Assistant Director Inclusion and Capability will provide advice on various aspects of capability building, assist with the drafting and implementation of a new Inclusion Program and manage all aspects of procurement and contract management of learning and inclusion programs. The key duties of the position include The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Director People. Key activities of this position include: Lead and support the development and ongoing implementation of a new NACC Inclusion program covering Australian Government strategies for First Nations Peoples, disability and gender initiatives. Lead and support the development and ongoing implementation of a NACC Reconciliation Action Plan. Support employees and managers to advise on and implement workplace adjustments as required. Lead the implementation of key capability policies and programs including induction, essential learning, studies assistance and the Rewards and Recognition Program. Provide best practice and contemporary advice and support to staff and managers on capability and career management to support organisational performance. Manage the procurement of inclusion and capability programs in accordance with Whole of Australian Government policies and procurement rules. Manage the central capability budget to produce equitable outcomes across the NACC. Represent the Branch and the NACC at internal and external forums. Demonstrate leadership in fostering an inclusive and learning workplace culture. The NACC is a small agency. In addition to these activities, from time to time you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities.
