CARETAKER COUPLE – BOUTIQUE ECO RETREAT (COLES BAY, TASMANIA) Accommodation Provided Salary Bonus Structure Full-Time | Minimum 12-Month Contract Immediate Start Our beautifully designed boutique eco retreat is seeking a friendly, reliable and hands-on caretaker couple to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure guests enjoy a warm, memorable and seamless stay. The property includes four boutique accommodation suites and a private waterfront sauna. Onsite accommodation can be provided for the successful couple or family. About the Role This full-time position is ideal for a couple who love hospitality, nature and coastal living. You will be responsible for guest services, housekeeping, sauna preparation, grounds care, and light property maintenance. The retreat is positioned in a peaceful coastal pocket, only a short distance from Coles Bay’s cafés, beaches and the entrance to Freycinet National Park. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience • Warm, professional communication with guests • Managing check-ins and check-outs • Handling guest enquiries, issues and feedback • Ensuring the retreat feels welcoming, polished and thoughtfully presented Housekeeping & Operations • Cleaning and preparing the four boutique suites between stays • Linen management, ordering supplies and amenities • Maintaining a consistent 5-star standard across all guest areas Sauna Duties • Preparing the private waterfront sauna for guest sessions • Maintaining cleanliness and readiness of the sauna, outdoor shower and surrounding space • Monitoring bookings and coordinating guest access • Resetting the sauna between sessions Maintenance & Grounds • Light property and garden upkeep • Reporting maintenance issues and coordinating trades • Waste and recycling management • General care of outdoor areas, pathways and facilities Administration & Social Media • Managing booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, direct), using Guesty and PriceLabs • Inventory control and basic record-keeping • Assisting with simple social media content such as photos, short updates and guest highlights What We Offer • Combined base salary: $1,100 – $1,400 per week (experience dependent) • Accommodation provided for a couple or family (valued at $500–$650 p/w) • Performance bonus for exceptional guest reviews and sauna bookings • A relaxed, coastal lifestyle in one of Tasmania’s most sought-after destinations • Very flexible working conditions with the ability to set your own hours/rosters • Full-time role with a minimum 12-month commitment Ideal Couple • Positive, calm and guest-focused • Experience in housekeeping, hospitality or accommodation management • Comfortable with basic repairs and garden care • Able to work independently and proactively manage a small property • Trustworthy, reliable and hands-on Should you be interested, please apply online or forward CV to pip@marypippins.com.au
