The Gig An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced, detail-driven , and commercially focused Financial Accountant to join their Northern Beaches-based team. This growth role is central to managing day-to-day financial operations, cashflow, month-end, and reporting, ensuring the business has accurate information to support ongoing expansion. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll ply your trade across management accounting, P&L monitoring, BAS preparation, payroll, and budgeting support. You’ll also work closely with operations, sales, and supply chain on invoicing, debtor performance, inventory accuracy, and project margin analysis, keeping financial processes smooth, timely, and well controlled. Financial rigour underpins everything you do , from reconciliations and cashflow forecasting to managing Xero, supporting Ostendo, and improving controls. You’ll apply accuracy and initiative to every task, ensuring compliance and high-quality financial outcomes. You'll be trusted with Preparing monthly management accounts, P&L reports, and variance analysis Managing the full month-end close, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations Producing rolling 13-week cashflow forecasts and monitoring working capital Overseeing AP/AR, invoicing, payroll, and bank reconciliations Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS, and supporting year-end audit requirements Maintaining Xero and optimising Ostendo workflows for accurate reporting Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and budget vs actual reporting Reviewing inventory valuation, COGS, and project/job costing Strengthening internal controls and improving financial processes Providing guidance to a Junior Accountant and supporting team capability What’s in your toolbox? CPA or CA qualification with 3–5 years’ accounting experience Strong financial reporting, cashflow forecasting, and month-end capability Hands-on experience with Xero; exposure to Ostendo highly regarded Solid technical accounting knowledge and understanding of Australian standards Advanced Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and modelling High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset You’re the kind of person who ensures the details are right, the controls are strong, and the reporting is meaningful.
