Be part of this supportive family-run business, and assist in the exciting growth phase of Elvanbrook and Dalkeith, as both properties emerge into the world of regenerative agriculture on this large-scale cattle enterprise. This position is suitable for couples or single candidates. The Employer: Located 90 km east of St George and 300 km west of Toowoomba, adjoining properties Elvanbrook and Dalkeith comprise 25,000 HA of regenerative grazing land. As part of a recent Soil Carbon initiative, the successful candidates will work alongside the farm owners, installing and operating a large cell grazing scheme to promote vibrant pastures and biodiversity. The Leading Hand role is primarily livestock-focused, maintaining 2,000 Simmental, Santa Gertrudis and Angus breeders, in addition to growing out a further 2,000 weaners, all pasture-fed. As successful candidates, you will be responsible for all aspects of animal health and movement, including mustering with 2-wheeler motorbikes. Infrastructure includes modern, undercover cattle yards and laneway systems. The ideal candidate will be a proficient fencer and be able to install a new water system to support the expanding cell grazing operation. Along with a genuine respect for all animals and their welfare, prior experience operating machinery, including tractors, front-end loaders, and graders, is essential for this role. An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with the successful applicant's experience and skills, will be negotiated, with the addition of a work vehicle, electricity, and Starlink included.
