Our reputation is built on precision craftsmanship and customer-focused service. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position working within a high-performing maintenance and engineering environment. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of mechanical plant, equipment and systems to ensure our operations run safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Fit, assemble, install and repair mechanical plant and equipment Diagnose mechanical faults and perform preventive & corrective maintenance Check, align, calibrate and adjust mechanical components Use a range of hand tools, power tools, welding and fabrication equipment Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications Dismantle and replace defective parts, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pumps and motors Perform routine inspections and maintain accurate service/maintenance records Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and quality standards Collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance teams to optimise machine performance Skills & Experience Certificate III or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Turning, or equivalent trade qualification Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial, manufacturing, mining, utilities or similar environment Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, rotating equipment or heavy machinery (advantage) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer Stable, long-term employment with a reputable organisation Competitive salary aligned with market rates Ongoing training and development Supportive and safety-focused workplace culture Opportunity to work on varied and challenging mechanical systems How to Apply Please submit your updated resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role.
