This area is near the famous Snowy Mountains, surrounded by beautiful rivers and lakes. The properties cover approximately 2,700 hectares, supporting 1,400 stud and commercial cows and their offspring. They utilise top genetics in their herd and breed exceptional bulls for annual on-property and private sales, boasting the largest number of Poll Hereford bulls sold at auction in Australia in 2025. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the farm owners to execute daily responsibilities, and your input into everyday operations and strategic business planning will be pivotal. Proficiency in cattle husbandry is crucial, and a solid grasp of beef genetics will be advantageous. Previous experience in pasture management, general machinery operation, and fencing maintenance will also be highly valued. The property has undergone significant improvements, including new fencing, laneways, cattle yards, and infrastructure rebuilds, creating an inspiring environment for you to thrive and make a meaningful impact. The successful applicant will ideally possess the following skills and attributes - 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar hands-on role in a beef cattle enterprise; stud experience ideal but not a necessity. High self-motivation, initiative, and self-accountability with a good, honest work ethic. Pasture grazing management experience, understanding of DSE's etc Farm machinery experience/mechanically minded ideal but not essential and a current MR truck licence Strong work ethic, reliable, self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously Be a good communicator with aspirations to learn and further develop the business Strive for excellence, determined to succeed and progress with the business. A salary commensurate with experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate, and a 3BR house with an established garden, work ute and meat will be offered to the successful candidate.
